In 1992 carbon fibre was adopted for the first time in America’s Cup racing yachts, showing great advantage against any other material. In the following years, the usage of carbon fibre spread to other classes, becoming the material of choice for yacht designers.
Delta-Preg offers a range of materials specifically designed for marine applications, such as low temperature curing prepreg systems suitable for oven cure of big hulls. In addition, Delta-Preg structural materials are extensively used for carbon masts and foils.
Delta-Preg materials are qualified for America’s Cup and International Mono-hull Open Class Association (IMOCA).
